Nonprofit Vine Series Part 3 of 5: Creating Awareness in 6 Seconds

Creating awareness about key campaign components is easier than you think. Earlier this year, there was discussion about cutting funding to the Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program or SNAP (formerly food stamps). Congressmen Jared Huffman (D-Calif.) took the SNAP challenge, by living on $4.50 of food a day. He also posted a fact about SNAP and families.

What This Means

Use Vine to deliver statistics—particularly numbers that normally get lost in an annual report or annual newsletter. Like Congressman Huffman, Vine enables you to stimulate the minds of your followers and enhance your message with numbers that dance, magically appear or even zig-zag.

Your Next Steps
  • Identify an issue challenging your organization.
  • Write an important message on a poster board or piece of paper.
  • Pause the recording every time a new line needs to be written.
  • Conclude with one vital statistic appearing.
